The Stories We Carry
Monica doesn’t just work with ink. She works with what people carry.
From neuroscience to the needle
Before becoming a tattoo artist, she worked as a neuroscientist with a focus on mental health. Today, she brings that understanding into her practice, in the way she listens and in how she develops motifs. For her, tattoos are not mere decoration. They are symbols of change, memory, or something someone consciously chooses to carry.
Between blackwork and botanicals
Her work moves between bold blackwork and delicate botanical elements. Dark, clear forms meet softer textures. Many of her motifs have personal origins: a flower from childhood, leaves from a tree someone used to climb. Things that once held meaning and are now meant to remain visible.
Selected work
Made with intention
Monica approaches each piece with intention. She takes time for conversations and for developing a motif together with her clients. Her goal is not classical perfection, but something that feels right for the person, even years later. Her tattoos feel calm and present at the same time. As if the skin is carrying something that was already there.
For GoldSeam, Monica represents exactly what this platform stands for: high-level craftsmanship paired with a willingness to engage with meaning.
