Munich · Blackwork & fine line
Monica — Dark Autumn Studio
Monica is a blackwork and fine line artist in Munich, and a neuroscientist turned tattoo artist. Her work blends bold ornamental shapes with botanical detail, and she treats each piece as part of someone’s story, with a mindful consultation before the needle ever starts.
“A safe space in Munich for exploring identity and emotion, through blackwork and fine line tattooing.”
If you want a tattoo made with intention, she is the artist we recommend.

Tattoo Direction Session
For a tattoo that should mean something. Together you work out what it is really about, then define style, size, placement and the long-term trade-offs. You get a personal document and a one-page brief you can take to any artist, not only Monica.
Credited if you book a tattoo with Monica within 12 months. A creative design process, not therapy.
Both are booked on Dark Autumn Studio's site. Times show in your own time zone. 18+.
What happens when you book
Send your idea
Click book and describe what you have in mind. A name, a date, a place, a feeling, any references. It does not need to be a finished design.
The consultation
Monica talks it through with you: placement, size, and how it will sit and age. She shapes a rough idea into something that suits your body.
The session
You get tattooed at the studio in Munich, and leave with clear aftercare guidance for the weeks that follow.
Good to know
Do I need a finished design?
No. Bring your idea, a few references, and the story behind it. A good artist shapes the rest with you in the consultation.
What styles does Monica work in?
Blackwork, fine line, ornamental, and botanical. If your idea would suit a different style, she will tell you honestly rather than force it.
What will it cost?
It depends on size, detail, and placement, so there is no single number. Our guide on what a tattoo costs explains the factors, and you can talk budget openly with Monica.
Can I book around a trip, or from abroad?
Yes, and many people do, often to mark a visit or their roots. Book ahead, since good artists fill up. See our Munich visitor guide.
Is it in English?
Yes.
Not sure what to get yet?
Start with our first-tattoo guide and the pieces in the journal. There is no rush, and the quiet ideas tend to be the ones worth keeping. If you would rather talk it through, Monica offers a free 15-minute intro call online (see above).
